creative account manager | freelance

We are looking for a Creative Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with our clients. The Account Manager’s role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients, and actively seek new sales opportunities.
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:​

  • Oversee marketing efforts on client accounts including social media, website, paid advertising, email marketing and more.

  • Work alongside marketing strategists and other team members to build effective marketing plans and content for clients

  • Demonstrating thought leadership and creative thinking to direct our marketing efforts for our clients

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all client account management matters

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships

  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our marketing objectives according to client needs and objectives

  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas

  • Forecast and track key account metrics

  • Prepare reports on account status

  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed

  • Copywriting/Editing

  • Oversight of multiple client accounts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Based in Massachusetts

  • Proven work experience in an agency capacity as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role

  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level

  • Solid experience with CRM and task management software (ClickUp preferred)

  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, writing, and presentation abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or relevant field

  • Passion for small businesses

  • This is a freelance/contractor position at around 10 hours weekly with the opportunity to grow
