Bartlett's Farm is one of Nantucket’s most iconic and well-loved destinations, known for its fresh, farm-grown produce, farm-made prepared foods, a wide selection of treats and home goods, and community-driven experiences. As a local and seasonally affected business, with deep family ties to the island that go back over 100 years, our The Bartlett’s Team needed an organic social media strategy that would compliment the ebbs and flows of the season, target both the year-round and summer populations, keep their audience informed about farm updates throughout the year, and highlight the generations that have been part of Bartlett’s story.
Our team partnered with Bartlett’s Farm to elevate their organic social media presence through thoughtful, brand-aligned content and consistent platform management. We developed and executed a strategic content plan that highlighted seasonal offerings, farm experiences, timely updates, and more, ensuring all messaging remained accurate, cohesive, and true to the brand’s voice.

challenge
While Bartlett’s Farm is open nearly year-round, they are certainly affected by the drastic changes in population throughout the year, seeing a large influx of visitors in the summer months and a drop in traffic in the winter, creating two vastly different audiences to market to.
Along with this, there is a large change in how the farm operates through the seasons. In the spring and summer, they are growing, harvesting, and stocking the market with a variety of farm-grown produce and plants, as well as creating seasonal prepared farm-made menus and providing the island with some of its favorite beach sandwiches. During the chilly New England winters, when nothing can be grown on the island, their focus shifts to stocking the market with fresh and in-season produce from other reputable farms and creating hearty farm-made foods that locals can bring home. Keeping up with exciting updates, behind-the-scenes content, what’s in season, events, etc., was important to reflect in the content to ensure information was accurate and valuable.
